ITINERARY
Day 1: USA/Vilnius.
Transatlantic flight to Vilnius. Dinner and breakfast served on board.

Day 2: Vilnius.
Arrive in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, The Baroque Jewel, the first Baltic nation to declare independence from the Soviet Union. Once the largest medieval state in Europe, it is now is a small country with rich history. The many palaces, manor houses, monuments and charges recall the once powerful state. Greetings from our representative and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3: Vilnius.
The morning sightseeing tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town is the among the largest in Eastern Europe and is a living museum of architecture. See majestic St. Stanislav Cathedral, visit the remains of the castle built by Prince Gediminas in 1323, Old University and Gates of the Dawn. Afternoon free.

Day 4: Vilnius - Riga.
After breakfast drive to Riga, capital of Latvia, the new Baltic metropolis. Visit Trakai Castle, of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania built in 14th century on a small island in the lake Galve.Along the route we will visit the Hill of Crosses, a unique national pilgrimage site located on a small hill which, over the centuries, has been planted with thousands of carved crosses. Continue to Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courtland. After a guided tour of the palace we travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia with afternoon arrival in Riga. This evening free time to stroll through Riga or optional visit to seafood restaurant Zivju.

Day 5: Riga.
Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The city is located on the banks of the Daugava River, which flows into the Baltic Sea. It was ruled by Germans, Pols, Swedes, Russians, Nazis and Soviets before Latvia became independent in 1991. The walking tour of the Old Town with cobble-stoned streets includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, with impressive 6,768 – pipe organ the biggest in Europe. St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, The Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. In the New Town you’ll find the most impressive collection of Art Nouveau that any European city can show. In the afternoon free time or optional excursion to Open Air Museum near Lake Jugla; 90 rural buildings farm houses, windmills, fisherman’s huts and church depicting peasant life of the 17th through 19th centuries.

Day 6: Riga – Tallinn.
This morning we continue along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. As a forfeited 13th century city, Parnu was another powerful Hanseatic port. After short sightseeing, continue to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

Day 7: Tallinn.
Tallinn is a charming and true medieval city that dates back to the 10th century. Since Estonia independence was restored, Tallinn has developed in an attractive and safe destination. Morning sightseeing tour of the Old Town where we will see Toompea Castle, the Dome Cathedral, Alexander Nevsky Church and medieval Old Town Hall. Afternoon free to visit many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafes and restaurants, or take optional excursion to Kadriorg Park with the visit to Kadriorg Palace and its art collections. In the evening is an optional genuine medieval dinner at the restaurant Olde Hanse.

Day 8: Tallinn – USA.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight home.
