Venice

Day 1: Friday, USA – Venice.
(Italy)
Overnight flight to Venice. Dinner and breakfast are severed on board.

Day 2: Saturday, Venice.
Embarkation in the port of Venice after 1:00pm. At 4:00pm set sail for to Bari.

Day 3: Sunday, Bari.
(Italy)
Arrival at 10:00am in Bari the capital of the Puglia region. Its geographic position, flat terrain, and mild climate have attracted people since ancient times. You will have leisure time in Bari for shopping or an optional excursion.
While in Bari enjoy a walk down the Strada delle Crociate (Streets of the Crusades), visit St. Nicola’s Basilica, or take excursion to the town of Alberobelo to visit the town’s truly unique, circular, water washed buildings. Departure at 2:00pm.


Greece

Day 4: Monday, Katakolon. (Greece)
In the morning at 8:00am arrive at Katakolon, site of the very first Olympic Games. An optional excursion will visit ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games and where the sacred flame begins its journey every Olympic year. In addition, you will have free time to wander at the ruins of the Temple of Zeus and visit a local Museum.


Port Kusadasi

Day 5: Tuesday, Kusadasi. (Turkey)
Early morning at 8:00am arrival in Kusadasi, one of the most attractive cities of the Aegean. It is close to numerous important historical sites including the ancient city of Ephesus and The House of Virgin Mary. Here you can explore the famous Theater of Ephesus and admire the craftsmanship of the Celsius Library. Walk on the 2000 year old Marble Street and be a guest to the Houses on the Slope. Visit the Temple of Hadrian, the sixth-century Basilica of St. John and the Mausoleum of Haricarnassus (one of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World). Depart at 12:30pm.

Day 6: Wednesday, Istanbul.
(Turkey)
Arrival at 7:00am in Istanbul. Optional excursion will take you to the Blue Mosque, named for the beautiful blue Iznik tiles that cover its walls. Then stroll along the historical Hippodrome where chariot races were once held. Continue to St. Sophia, the most important monument in Istanbul, not only for its history, but also because it is an architectural marvel. St. Sophia was originally the largest church in the world until the Ottomans transformed it into a mosque in 1453 and it is now a Museum. Afterwards visit the Suleymaniye Mosque, built in the 16th century for Suleyman the Magnificent. Continue to Topkapi Palace, legendary residence of the Ottoman Sultans. Enjoy free time to explore the Egyptian Bazaar, used as a spice market since 1665.

Day 7: At sea.

Day 8: Friday, Dubrovnik.
(Croatia)
In the morning at 11:00am we reach the ancient walled city Dubrovnik, completed in the 13th century. The old city has remained virtually unchanged for centuries. Morning optional excursion will take you for a panoramic drive by bus and a walking tour of the Old Town of Dubrovnik, a unique open-air museum. You’ll stroll the central stone-paved street know as Stradun and see Dominican and Franciscan monasteries as well as one of Europe’s oldest synagogues. Other monuments include the Rector’s Palace and Europe’s oldest pharmacies established in 1318, is still dispensing medicines today.


Dubrovnik

Day 9: Saturday, Venice.
Arrival at 8:00am. Disembarkation after breakfast.
