Welcome On Board

The M/S Andrea entered service in summer 2003 following a multi-million dollar renovation and redecoration in Sweden.

A 107-passenger M/S Andrea began her career as the popular Harald Jarl, cruising the Norwegian coastline and fjords. M/S Andrea provides a welcome return to the intimacy and traditional nautical sensibility often lacking in larger ships. With her small size and relatively shallow draft, she can dock in the heart of Europe’s historic centers and is able to navigate into smaller, remote ports inaccessible to the big cruise vessels.

Her interiors evoke the ambiance of a Swedish country manor house, with distinctive 18th-century Gustavian-style décor and furnishings.
Cabins are attractively designed for comfort and convenience, fully air conditioned with lower beds, modern bathrooms and thoughtful appointments.

The European service staff has achieved high marks from passengers for their friendliness and professionalism. Enjoy delicious, freshly prepared meals from skilled European chefs; wine and beer are included with lunch and dinner.

Shearwater Restaurant

Public rooms include the Shearwater Restaurant which accommodates all guests in a single seating. The Cormorant Lounge, at the fore of the vessel, contains a small library and several computers for internet access and e-mails.

The Kittiwake Lounge & Bar is located in the stern of the vessel and doubles as a lecture room. There is an observation platform on the foredeck, and ample outdoor deck space to observe the passing scenery.

An elevator is available for passenger use. Smoking is not permited in the cabins or public areas of the ship.

The dress code is casual, and laundry service is available. English is the official language on board and the ship's currency is the U.S. dollar.
