Day 1. USA – Hanoi.
Overnight transatlantic flight to Hanoi. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.
Day 2: Hanoi
Arrive at Hanoi airport where you will be meat from our representative and transfer to your chosen hotel. In the afternoon city tour of Hanoi, one of Asia’s most fascinating cities. Rich in culture and history, this diverse city draws on its influence from French and Chinese culture. You will visit Ho Chi Minh complex; Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s House and Mausoleum, also his private residence from 1954 until 1969. The wooden ethnic minority style house, built on stilts, surrounded with beautiful gardens. French colonial Governor’s Palace and the 11th century One-Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049, Temple of Literature and Old Quarter and the 36 “ Guild streets”.
In the evening optional Water Puppets Show. You will be transferred to Thang Long Opera Theatre where the Water Puppets Show is preformed. This unique art form in Vietnam was developed in the Red River Delta in the 10th century. The farmers in this region put on performances for other villagers in the flooded rice paddies. The Water Puppet Show is preformed in a pool of water. The puppeteers stand behind a screen and control the figures using long bamboo rods and a sting mechanism hidden beneath the water surface. The stories are about rural life performance. Welcome dinner at the local Vietnamese Restaurant.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay – overnight cruise
After breakfast, three-hour morning drive through the countryside to Ha Long Bay, a natural wonder with thousands of island rising out of the water, creates a unique and beautiful landscape. Declared as the World Heritage Site twice for its nature beauty and geological by UNESCO. Upon arrival embark on a traditional luxury boat for a voyage through the 3,000 limestone islands. A fresh seafood lunch will be served on board. You will visit recently discovered Surprise Grotto. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City ( formerly Saigon)
Wake-up for sun rise and early morning coffee than take a bamboo boat to visit Sung Cot Cave, one of the largest in Halong Bay. We then continue our cruise pass-by-the city’s market Hon Gai. Transfer to Hanoi airport for short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, “Pearl of the Far East”. Dinner at the local Restaurant. Transfer to your chosen hotel. .
Day 5: Ho Chi Minh City.
After breakfast, start sightseeing tour with visit to the former Presidential Palace, Municipal Theater, City Hall, Catholic Cathedral of Notre Dame Cathedral and 19th century Empire-style Central Post Office, and the next door ‘Hotel de Ville’ or City Hall then travel to the site of the impressive Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Also explore Le Cong Kieu Street; well know as the antique street, Binh Tay Central Market and the Thien Hau Pagoda.
Afternoon free time for shopping at Binh Tay Central Market or Le Cong Kieu Street, well know as the antique street, or optional excursion to CU Chi Tunnels. Cu Chi is the site of the famous tunnels used during the Vietnam War. Upon arrival you will be guided through the tunnels which extend to three levels underground, providing a remarkable insight into the hardships, courage, and determination of a guerrilla war. Late afternoon return to the hotel. Farewell dinner on a replica of the emperor boat with memorable cruise on Saigon River with entertainment. Overnight in Hoi Chi Mingh City.
Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh
After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival meet our representative and transfer to you chosen hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour includes Wat Phnom Daun Penh, National Museum. Continue with visit to Independence Monument, Silver Pagoda (Royal Palace) and Toul Sleng genocidal museum. Dinner at the local Restaurant Bopha Phnom Penh with traditional show.Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 7. Phnom Penh Siem Reap
After breakfast free time for shopping at Old Market. Afternoon transfer to the airport for short flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transfer you to the hotel your chose. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 Siem Reap – Angkor Temples
Morning sightseeing tour includes visit to South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is a famous of its series of colossal human faces carved in a stone, impressive Bayon Temple, Baphuon, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of Leper King the largest the most complete Temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares.
Pelican Cruises, Halong Bay, Vietnam
In the afternoon continue your tour with visit to Ta Proham Temple, Angkor Wat (one of Seven Wonders of the World). There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression on man’s creation. We explore this masterpiece as well of some surrounding Temples including Banteay Kdei, Sra Strong, Ta Keo and Chau Say Tevado, Pre Rup Temples before we walk up to Phnom Bakheng Hill for a vie of spectacular sunset over these sandstone monuments. In the evening dinner with show, Cambodian traditional dance Apsara. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 9 Siem Reap - USA
After breakfast free time for shopping or relaxing at the pool. You can take optional excursion to Tonle Sap, Great Lake. By boat you will visit the floating village. On the way back visit “Les Artisans D’Angkor Chanties Ecoles” and shop at Old Market. Late afternoon transfer for overnight flight back home
